Living Freely! at Husum Castle.
In January, we dismantled and packed up the Living Freely! exhibition at Monacensia. Now, we’ve unpacked and reassembled it at Husum Castle. For the next year, the traveling exhibition will be on display at the birthplace of one of its protagonists, Franziska zu Reventlow. Thanks to the scientific work of the Nordfriesland Museum Network, the exhibition has been expanded to include another writer from that period. Margarete Böhme, a native of Husum, fits seamlessly into the exhibition’s context with her life and work. We integrated her chapter into the exhibition design and created an icon from her portrait, which is freely available on Wikimedia. When the exhibition moves to its next location next year, Margarete Böhme will continue to be part of the traveling exhibition.
The collaboration with the team at Husum Castle was fantastic and truly inspiring. North meets South, and the crocuses are blooming in the castle park. We’ve compiled a few impressions to show how well the modular elements of the exhibition fit into the attic gallery’s spaces.
