Ander Art - an annual open-air festival held at Odeonsplatz in Munich.
The city of Munich considers it important to present itself as a cosmopolitan, international and diverse metropolis, especially during Oktoberfest. The music festival, which takes place at the same time, provides a stage for international musicians, accompanied by activity tents and programmes for everyone, with free admission.
For several years, Ander Art has been a so-called zero-waste festival, saving on CO2, waste and energy.
Awarded as one of the Top 100 Posters
In 2009, we were tasked with designing the poster for the Ander Art Festival in Munich. The key visual was intended to be used every year to announce the alternative festival.
The result was a poster that turned typography into an image and played with the accordion. The poster was awarded in the 2010 Design Competition for the Top 100 Posters and has been in use annually for almost 15 years.
